Tony Ibarria to speak at Conference Dedicated to Mentoring the Youth

Newark, NJ.— Well-known businessman and publisher of popular newspapers El Especial and Especialito, Antonio Ibarria, aka ‘Tony Ibarria’, will speak at the 16th Annual New Jersey Conference on Dominican Affairs (CODA), this year under the theme “Mentoring the Next Generation.”

The Conference, spearheaded by Dr. Maria Teresa Montilla, President of the Institute for Latino Studies and The Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey (LLANJ) will take place on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 8am to 3pm at Rutgers University’s Paul Robeson Campus Center, 350 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Newark, NJ 07102.

Mr. Ibarria will be one of a select group of speakers and presenters who have confirmed their participation, including Hon. Claribel Martínez-Marmolejos, Legislator in San Juan, Puerto Rico and President of the Dominican American National Roundtable (DANR), Lydia Valencia from the Puerto Rican Congress of NJ, Martin Perez, Esq., member of Rutgers Board of Governors, Daisy Baez, Candidate to Florida House of Representatives, Hon. Ariagna Perello, President Newark Board of Education, Dr. Alberto Correa, Universidad Interamericana de Puerto, Milly Silva, Executive Vice President 1199 SEIU, Fernando Alonso, Chairman Bergen County Republican Hispanic Association, Hon. Julio Marenco, Associate Board Member at NJ State Parole Board, and among others, Hon. The Conference on Dominican Affairs is a project of the Institute for Latino Studies (ILS) with the support of UNIVISION and PSE&G in collaboration with several organizations dedicated to the socio-economic and political advancement of Latinos and U.S. diverse communities, including the Dominican American National Roundtable, the Latino Leadership Alliance (LLANJ), and the National Dominican American Council (NDAC).
